Reclaiming a slope that was washing away
Every heavy rain carried more of this backyard slope toward the neighbor's fence, and the grade was too steep to mow safely. The owners wanted the hillside held and a flat, usable yard back.
We set a tiered natural boulder wall, backfilled with free-draining stone, and regraded the top into level, seedable lawn, turning a liability into the best part of the yard.
Engineered to drain, not just stack
A boulder wall only holds if the water behind it has somewhere to go. We built a drainage stone backfill with filter fabric and a base course keyed into undisturbed soil, so the wall carries the load and sheds water instead of trapping it.
